The European Union could “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it deems “unjustified” visa bans issued by the US on five European individuals working on combating digital hatred and disinformation, an EU official stated.

EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Coercion’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions were placed on individuals who have been at the heart of efforts to introduce laws regulating American tech companies.
